As Seen In
Kapetto was born from the belief that a rug should do more than cover a floor. It should transform a room. Art Director Charlotte Engstrom bridges Scandinavian minimalism with centuries-old artisan craft, curating every texture, palette, and proportion with a single question in mind.
How does it make the space feel?

Handmade
From hand-knotting to hand-looming, every technique we employ has been refined over centuries. Our artisans tie up to 12,000 knots per day, each one placed with the precision that only decades of experience can bring.
A single rug can take 200 to 800 hours of dedicated work. The result is a piece that carries the weight of tradition and the lightness of beauty.
Explore the craft“I specified the Kumo Caramel for a brownstone renovation in Park Slope, and it became the centerpiece of the entire first floor. The way the pile catches afternoon light through those tall windows is something my client still talks about months later.”

“We went back and forth between the Latte and the Caramel for weeks. Ended up with the Kumo Latte in our bedroom and honestly, getting out of bed in the morning has become harder. The softness underfoot is unlike anything we have owned before.”
We source only the finest natural fibers from around the world, each chosen for its unique qualities and beauty.

“The Kumo Rose brought exactly the warmth I wanted in my living room without feeling saccharine. It pairs beautifully with our walnut credenza and brass fixtures. Friends always ask where it is from.”
