Room Recommendations
Living Room
- Small (apartment): 5' x 7' under coffee table
- Medium: 6' x 9' with front legs of furniture on rug
- Large: 8' x 10' or 9' x 12' for all furniture on rug
Bedroom
- Queen bed: 8' x 10' extends beyond both sides and foot
- King bed: 9' x 12' for full coverage around the bed
- Runners: Place on each side of the bed
Dining Room
- 6-seat table: 8' x 10' allows chairs to remain on rug when pulled out
- 8-seat table: 9' x 12' for comfortable chair movement
Entryway / Hallway
- 5' x 7' for foyers and entryways
Tips
- Leave 12-18 inches of floor showing around rug edges
- Ensure dining chairs stay on the rug even when pulled out
- In living rooms, either all furniture legs on the rug or just the front legs
