Kapetto Manufacturing

All Kapetto rugs are handwoven by skilled artisans in Bhadohi, India, the world's carpet weaving capital.

Techniques

Hand-Knotted

The pinnacle of rug craftsmanship. Each knot is individually tied by hand using the Persian (Senneh) knot. A skilled weaver ties 8,000 to 12,000 knots per day. The result is extraordinary density (up to 120 knots per square inch), detail, and durability. A rug meant to last generations, developing a patina that machine-made textiles cannot match. Used in: Kiri Hand-Knotted ($3,495 - $9,495)

Hand-Tufted

A tufting tool punches yarn through a canvas backing, creating a plush, durable surface. This method allows for remarkable design flexibility while maintaining the artisan touch that defines every Kapetto piece.

Hand-Loomed

An ancient weaving art passed down through centuries. The artisan works the loom with practiced rhythm, creating flat-weave rugs with distinctive textures and patterns that celebrate the beauty of simplicity. Used in: Cashmere collection (loom knotted), Nami Wool (hand-loomed), Yuka Wool (hand-woven dhurrie)
